In concert with the president of the United States openly declaring that "...whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation...," the Supreme Court of the United States has just lawfully sanctioned and protected the compound perversion of homosexual unions. I may share in a later post the Biblical position on such activity, but I post this now to assure the Friendswood family that, as long as the present leadership and preacher are in place here, we will not acquiesce to participate in such unions, either in solemnizing or allowing our facilities to be used for such.
I anticipate that this position will bring future conflict, though now there may be the tissue-wall of 'religious exemption,' but know that Friendswood will "obey God rather than men" now and into the future.
